WHAT IS POSTINI?

EarthLink has partnered with Postini to provide you the latest tools to prevent
viruses and junk email from reaching your computer. Postini is a leading provider of
integrated message management, including anti-spam and anti-virus protection for all of
your inbound email. EarthLink provides this service as part of our commitment
to bring you the best Internet service available.  You can Order Postini for as little as 0.85/user online here.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSTINI SERVICE:

• Your email passes through Postini’s automated filters that detect suspected
  junk email and viruses.

• Suspicious email is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected Message Center
  (it does not arrive at your computer’s in box). Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Message
  Center you can read the quarantined email online, delete it, or deliver (forward) it to your in box.

• Initially you should visit your Message Center often because Postini “remembers and learns”
  from your interaction. As time goes on you will be able to rely on Postini’s periodic notifications
  of your Message Center activity.

• Postini lets you “block” senders; meaning email from them will always be filtered.
  Or you can “approve” senders; meaning their email will always be delivered.

• This service is completely controlled by you.

When your service is activated you will be sent explicit instructions on how to access your
Message Center and how to get the most out of your junk email and virus protection.

DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING?

Yes, you will have log in to your message center and create a password. You may then
review and make changes to your settings. Settings include the aggressiveness of the filters
and how often you wish to be notified that a virus has been quarantined. The settings can
be changed as often as you like so that you can “tweak” them to meet your needs.

You will also have to make a change to your domain’s MX records. This is what allows mail
to flow thru Postini’s filters.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THE SERVICE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED?

When the service begins you will receive an activation notification from Postini.
The activation email will come from EarthLink support and will look like this:

• Where can I order Managed Postini?
  You can order Postini directly through EarthLink here.  We are the same cost as Google Postini, but add in the dedicated Phone Support and Setup.
• Are my emails still secure?
  The Postini services are private and secure. The junk email and virus protection is an
  automated process. Nobody has access to your email except you. Nobody will read your
  email. Your email is not censored, you control the filter settings.
• I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
  Resetting your password is easy. Just go to the message center login
  https://login.postini.com/exec/login and enter your email address and any incorrect
  password. (do not leave blank) You will then see a link that states: Forgot your password?
  Click on the link and then click on the “Submit” button. An email will be sent to your email
  address with a temporary password.
